Hades and Disco Elysium are two of the best games I've ever played, and also Obra Dinn was very unique and innovative. Indie games rock!

What do you mean "Hades seems to come out of nowhere" ? Bastion, Transistor and Pyre are three games that received lots of praise
Fun Fact: I actually know the Indie Cross Mod. If you don’t know what it is, it’s an FNF Mod where you go through Indie Universes to rap battle.

Cuphead and hollow knight are some of the best indie games I’ve played 😊 and I’ve beaten all of them
I don’t play many indie games but I’ve been trying to get into it more, turns out the only 2 indie games I’ve played in the last 5 years are #1 and 2 on this list. Since I beat disco elysium I’ve been aching for something else like it, I might just go play it again

I was sad that Ori and the Will of the Wisps didn't make this list. That game is absolutely my favorite indie game of all time. I'd say Hollow Knight is a very close second.
I'm surprised neither of the ori games are on the list or honorable mentions. Although if you compare in terms of metroidvanias hollownight wins out for me because of the depth of the lore but both ori games are up there for me in that genre.
Leaving Outer Wilds behind is not Justified at all.
