1. this was a real quick to the point tutorial. while I went more in-depth using godot 4 (some things had different names like kineticbody2d) and learning the tile editor this was a very useful baseline to follow while I made my prototype. thanks a bunch!

  2. My Sprite keeps getting stuck at the ends of the tiles, I can jump over but it wont let me fall off

    EDIT: I deleted the player hitbox and remade it and it worked. I have no idea what happened.

  3. here you go save you some time

    extends KinematicBody2D

    const UP = Vector2(0,-1)

    const GRAVITY = 20

    const MAXFALLSPEED = 200

    const MAXSPEED = 80

    const JUMPFORCE = 300

    const ACCEL = 10

    var motion = Vector2()

    func _ready():

    pass # Replace with function body.

    func _physics_process(delta):

    motion.y += GRAVITY

    if motion.y > MAXFALLSPEED:

    motion.y = MAXFALLSPEED

    motion.x = clamp(motion.x,-MAXSPEED,MAXSPEED)

    if Input.is_action_pressed("RIGHT"):

    motion.x = ACCEL

    elif Input.is_action_pressed("LEFT"):

    motion.X = -ACCEL

    else:

    motion.x = lerp(motion.x,0,0.2)

    if is_on_floor():

    # if Input.is_action_just_pressed("jump"):

    # motion.y = -JUMPFORCE

    motion = move_and_slide(motion,UP)

  4. (Revelation 20:11-15)And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

  5. this video doesn't really help new users…it expects the user to already know a lot about godot…so it's pretty much click bait…just giving you advice.. if u actually want to help people u should break this down into smaller steps.

  6. this did not help for me somehow im still trying to make the player move but it did not work so if you can make an another tutorial it will be very helpful for me

  7. Really good tutorial as I dont need those multihour tutorials for simply transitioning. But I really wish you spent more time early on explaining what things do. Im pausing and typing code I know nothing about.
