In theory its fast because the HD uses usb 3.0 it faster than the older 2.0
I'm new to gaming ! Can you have an External hard Drive plugged in and use 2 controllers as well ? TY !!
Most of the difference is because the internal drive is doing system functions in the background (gameplay recording is the biggest impact), game saves, OS, etc. While the external is purely game data only giving it more free bandwidth.
After getting my ps4 for a few months i noticed that loading times have doubled even tripled some times is that due to my hdd or is something like my internal like the cpu broken
I get 54 seconds in 2T WD my passport (2017 model) vs 1:06 in the ps4 pro internal drive. Best Buy ever.
This test actually shows false results. The fuller a hdd is, the slower it is. Your external HDD got 1% memory used and your internal 60%… Both should have 1% or 60% for an accurate test.
What kind of Seagate HDD are you using? Do you think the 8TB expansion/backup plus would work well for the pro?
