It's squirtle in red and blue and charizard in fire red and leaf green. Bulbasaur is good early game but is way weaker that the other 2 late game. My charizard's and blastoise's were always stronger. I don't think Grass pokemon are not as nessisary and a strong fire and water type.

Torchic learns Peck the same level it evolves. When it evolves into Combusken, it learns Double Kick. That bodies the first two Gyms very easily. And Blaziken is best for later in the game and the Elite Four.
